Now it’s private equity firms Providence Equity Partners, the Carlyle Group, and Hellman & Friedman joining up to do a leveraged buyout. Rumor is there’s a financing package with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and ING that would value Informa at somewhere around $4.2 billion. Of course, this takeover may not happen, either, we’ll just have to wait and see.
